Holi Krishna

Since I have been MIA the past little while, I havent exactly given updates on my life. A few weekends ago, Sarah and I went down to Utah. The weekend was so much fun.
Friday Night
We kicked off the weekend by going to the Complex dance in Salt Lake City. It was nuts. There we danced all night, and participated in a rather large silly string fight. We stayed in Provo with our friend Hilary.

Saturday
On Saturday, we woke up and went down to Spanish Fork for the Festival of colors. Getting there was an adventure. As we were driving, Hil's car began to over heat. So, we pulled over and kinda stared at the open hood for awhile. Hilary had some water in her trunk. She told Sarah to pour it in one of the valves--she said to open one that said: "Do not open, HOT." Sarah jokingly said "What if this blows up in my face?" She had her face back (which was a blessing in disguise), and when she opened it, hot steam went EVERYWHERE. Hilary and I ran away. Sarah being the mor mature one of us three, got a rag and put the lid back on. We all thought the car was going to explode. FINALLY, someone pulled over (who thank goodness had knowledge of cars) and told us we would be fine to keep driving. It was definitely an interesting experience that we all laughed about.
After getting off the freeway, we were stuck in horrible, horrible traffic. We parked miles away and walked up. When we got there, I had NO idea how crazy it would be. Every one was dancing and moshing, and random guys tried throwing us up to crowd surf us. Hilary got crowd surfed, and luckily, Sarah and I did not. People would throw the chalk at your face. Colors were everywhere. It was awesome.

We got lucky, we didnt have to walk back. We just hopped in someones truck bed, and then got off when we saw our car.

just an idea of how crazy it really was:

Saturday night, we went to another dance. It was fun as well. We got home late and crashed.

Sunday
Sarah's and my roommate from last winter had her mission farewell. We are so glad it fell on the weekend we planned to go down to Utah. Because of that, we were able to attend. Our roommate Amy will be serving in Hong Kong! She is going to be such an amazing missionary. It was great that all 6 roommates could be together one last time.
