provo

Since my mom didn't want me driving alone, she accompanied me on the long drive to Utah to drop me off at school for the summer. As we crept closer Provo, I could see the big "Y" on the hill come closer to view. I suddenly felt panic and anxiety. As I sat in the passenger seat of my car, I had a little panic attack. I continued to feel that anxiety through the night. I barely even at dinner because I felt so sick from the anxiety that I was feeling. My previous excitement for the summer had vanished entirely. Why the anxiety? My move to Provo, and decicion to attend BYU for the summer was a BIG change for me. Everything in Provo is bigger--the campus, the town... especially compared to Rexburg. In addition to that, upon moving here I knew hardly any one.
However, after shortly being here, I have already met people who are way cool. My classes are going to be enlightening and fun. My nerves have been calmed, and I am feeling the excitement that I once felt. I look forward to a fun summer filled with new friendships and experiences.

Jeremy's new clothes

Today, Anna and I went shopping to find an Easter outfit for Jeremy. When we got home, I wanted to "play" with my dad's nice camera. So we put Jeremy in his new outfit and took some pictures of him.

here are a few more of our little photo shoot

It was so much fun to take pictures of Jeremy. He seriously is the cutest thing. (I may be biased though since he is my nephew).

jeremy and bubbles

Jeremy, Anna, and I blew some bubbles today. It was fun to watch Jeremy's face light up each time the bubbles blew in the breeze. He would giggle, laugh, and chase the bubbles in his gallop of a run. I love that little guy. As I sat there and watched him play, I realized... I am going to miss this. Home that is. I enjoy being around my family. I enjoy the laughter and joy that they bring to me. Although I am nervous for it, it is days like this that start getting me excited to move home in 4 months. I am excited to see what the future brings to me.

Holi Krishna

Since I have been MIA the past little while, I havent exactly given updates on my life. A few weekends ago, Sarah and I went down to Utah. The weekend was so much fun.
Friday Night
We kicked off the weekend by going to the Complex dance in Salt Lake City. It was nuts. There we danced all night, and participated in a rather large silly string fight. We stayed in Provo with our friend Hilary.

Saturday
On Saturday, we woke up and went down to Spanish Fork for the Festival of colors. Getting there was an adventure. As we were driving, Hil's car began to over heat. So, we pulled over and kinda stared at the open hood for awhile. Hilary had some water in her trunk. She told Sarah to pour it in one of the valves--she said to open one that said: "Do not open, HOT." Sarah jokingly said "What if this blows up in my face?" She had her face back (which was a blessing in disguise), and when she opened it, hot steam went EVERYWHERE. Hilary and I ran away. Sarah being the mor mature one of us three, got a rag and put the lid back on. We all thought the car was going to explode. FINALLY, someone pulled over (who thank goodness had knowledge of cars) and told us we would be fine to keep driving. It was definitely an interesting experience that we all laughed about.
After getting off the freeway, we were stuck in horrible, horrible traffic. We parked miles away and walked up. When we got there, I had NO idea how crazy it would be. Every one was dancing and moshing, and random guys tried throwing us up to crowd surf us. Hilary got crowd surfed, and luckily, Sarah and I did not. People would throw the chalk at your face. Colors were everywhere. It was awesome.

We got lucky, we didnt have to walk back. We just hopped in someones truck bed, and then got off when we saw our car.

just an idea of how crazy it really was:

Saturday night, we went to another dance. It was fun as well. We got home late and crashed.

Sunday
Sarah's and my roommate from last winter had her mission farewell. We are so glad it fell on the weekend we planned to go down to Utah. Because of that, we were able to attend. Our roommate Amy will be serving in Hong Kong! She is going to be such an amazing missionary. It was great that all 6 roommates could be together one last time.

blog challenge.

So, I have not been the best at this blog challenge thing. I started out really strong the first few days, and then with finals and driving home and being home, I just kinda spazzed out. So, I figure, I am just going to do the last few days RIGHT NOW, so that I can be done, and update my readers with my current life happenings :)

Day 25- Who are you?
Simply put. I am Jessica. And that is all I need to say because I am PRETTY sure a few days ago I had to write ten facts about me :)

Day 26- What kind of person attracts you?
Most of my friends would laugh with this question being asked to me, because most of them know that I look at shoes... I love boys in Vans, slim jeans, and a skater shirt or flannel. A hat is nice too. But really, its not all about that. I am attracted to a person who makes me laugh. A person who I can be myself around. A person who loves me for me. Someone who I can be goofy and silly with. I am attracted to a person who is honest and trustworthy. A person with a strong testimony, and most importantly someone who can take me to the temple.

Day 27- A photo of somewhere you want to go.

YUP YOU GUESSED IT! I SOOOOO want to go to Hawaii again. You're probably thinking why don't I pick somewhere I havent been... I could. But right now... I DREAM of going somewhere exotic and tropical. And now that I have seen Hawaii firsthand, I feel that I would know where I want to go, and it would BE SO fun :)

Day 28- In this past month, what have you learned?
I have learned that procrastinating creates a very stressed Jessica. I tend to procrastinate a lot, but its BAD. I have also learned, that I am beautiful. And there is NO reason why ANY guy would just walk away from me without saying anything--that is 100% HIS deal, not mine. I have learned so much more too, but I really dont want to type it all.

Day 29- Something you could never get tired of doing.
uhh... I dont know. I think if I did any of the things I loved too much, I would get tired of it ya know?

Day 30- A photograph of yourself today + 3 good things that have happened in the past 30 days.

1) I got to see my family (i am still with them)
2) I made amazing friends, that I already miss.
3) I got good grades in ALL my classes.

mmm...

Its raining outside, a lot. I love the rain. I love how it smells. I love how after its rained and the sun shines, how everything looks so refreshed. I love it.

Day 24- A photo of something that means a lot to you.

I feel that this is very similar to a question from a few days ago. So I am not going to post a photo, I am just going to say, see below post. It is definitely my family that means a lot to me. Simply put: they are the best.

reflection.

As I drove home, the reality didn't hit me... I am done at BYU-Idaho. The next time I will be there is to walk in the commencement ceremony and receive my diploma for my Bachelors Degree in psychology. It is honestly surreal. On Tuesday night, I said my goodbyes. It still didn't feel real, but it was still hard to say goodbye to the people who have been so close to me for the past few years. I have been so blessed to have been able to go to such a wonderful university, and draw close to so many unique and special people. I have shared so many wonderful memories with my friends, and I truly will miss them. For most of them, I do not know when our paths will cross again, but I know that they will. Its been a great journey.

Day 23- 15 facts about YOU

1. I love the color yellow. It is so bright and cheerful.
2. I am terrified of clowns.
3. I can't live without my chapstick.
4. I love my family, and would rather hang out with them than most of my friends.

life is beautiful

Day 20. The meaning behind your blog name.

As I walked through temple square through the cool breeze, I could smell the flowers. I took a moment to ponder the beauty that I was surrounded by... and I just thought to myself how beautiful this life is. I named my blog "La Bella Vita" because in Italian it means... life is beautiful. Life really is beautiful. And this is something I constantly remind myself of when I am in the hustle and bustle of life... I stop and remind myself how grateful I am to live in such a beautiful world.

Day 21. A photo of something that makes you happy.

I didn't have one of the whole family, so I just posted one of the siblings. But bottom line: my family is what makes me happy. They are everything I have and more. They are my support unit. They are my life. I love them with all my heart and appreciate all the love and memories we share.

Day 22. A letter to someone who has hurt you recently.

Dear boy.
I am not sure if you are aware...
...but you kinda cracked my heart a little bit.
Maybe you weren't aware... but it stung.
It stung a lot.
But I forgive you.
I forgive you boy, for leaving me on the ground when I fell.
You didn't help me back up, and I am still here.
But its ok.
I forgive you.
Love always.
Jessica.
